Google shuts down its services again, says its for the better

Search giant Google is again set to shut down some of its services which it says weren't as useful as anticipated. Google announced shutting down of some of its services last month also.

Among the services set to be discontinued are Google Apps for Teams introduced in 2008. It was meant to collaborate applications from Google like Google Docs, Google Calendar and other non-email apps. The accounts of Google Apps for teams will be turned into personal Google Accounts from 4th September, 2012.

Google Listen, the podcast app from Google, launched through Google Labs in 2009 will also see its end beginning from 1st November 2012. After that people will still be able to access the subscriptions from the Listen Subscriptions folder in Google Reader but podcast search won't function.

Other services include Google video for Business and a number of blogs from Google's different services. Users' videos from Google Video for Business will be migrated to Google Drive with space not included in the default space given by Google Drive.

Google is gradually closing its less used services and exploring other options to stay at peak in the world of technology and advertisement.
