Search giant Google has added some new features to its Google search. The search results, as it says, will now be more accurate and better linked to the search term entered. These additions further improve the standard of the world's most widely used search engine.
Google has extended its knowledge graph from outside the US to every speaking country in the world. Knowledge Graph is a database of people and places, people and things with attributes and connections among them. For example on searching Indian cricketing team, you'll get the full team- its players, results and history. Its autofill feature has also been improved giving greater accuracy.
The best answer for a query will now not be a single answer but a list or group of connected things. A list of things will be shown at the top of the page related to the search query. Knowledge graphs will insure that your search is as close as you want it. For example, Taj Mahal will not only give the famous monument at Agra, or a Grammy Award-winning musician, or possibly even a casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Or, depending on when you last ate, the nearest Indian restaurant.
The search will include search results from the user gmail id,which it has added as trial, and show related emails to the search query. Users can sign up for that. Google has also added its speech recognition expertise, understanding of language and the Knowledge Graph- so that Voice Search can better interpret your questions and sometimes speak the answers back as full sentences- features to the iphone and ipad apps, which were earlier available in android version only.
