The dutch went up 2-0 at the end of first half with Roderick scoring the 2nd in 29th min. India came right back in the came scoring two goals in just 4mins and equalizing but the dutch got better of them in the end when Van Der Weerden hit the ball on top left corner on a penalty corner. Dharamveer scored for India in the 44th min while Shivendra scored in the 48th min.


In other events for Olympics for India, ace rifleman Ggan Narang got the first medal for India In the Olympics with a Bronze. Narang had a total score of 701.1 to finish third at the royal Artillery Barracks range, triggering celebrations among the Indian diaspora here and the countrymen back home. Earlier former world champion and the only individual gold medalist for India finished at mere 16th position after getting a score of 594 points.


In Boxing  SumitSangwan loses to Brazillian Yamaguchi Falcao Florentino in a controversial match in the round of 32 in 81 kg category. Indian team has filed a complaint saying that it was unfair decision and Indian played better in the match. Sangwan lost at a total score of 15-14 with 4-5 in 1st 4-5 in 2nd and 6-5 in 3rd round.
